Our Vision

FOR THE beautiful town OF DOVER

Can you imagine a place where everything seems to thrive? Where health and wellbeing are nurtured, education and training possibilities are the norm, young people thrive, homelessness is eradicated, family relationships strengthened, loneliness is a thing of the past. A community of people that knows how loved and precious each one of them are.

We are Dave and Laura Brittain and as a family we are passionate enough and crazy enough to think that this is possible because we know that God wants every part of our home town of Dover to come to life as his love permeates through the actions of each person in this place. Jesus said that he came to bring abundant, overflowing life and we think Dover is ready to see more of this within its community, as his love breaks out everywhere and in every way.

We believe God wants us to partner with him and help the impossible become a reality, we believe he’s creating a wide open space for us to play, he created us and is inviting each of us to get creative! To see this incredible town develop its beauty and all that it was made to be. A town that was once a place of defence, to be a city that opens its arms and welcomes in. That provides love and safety, joy and hope to all that pass through it.

We want to see life in every conceivable space where people are; in thriving businesses, in joyful homes, in

bustling cafes, in other life-bringing churches and charities, in a rejuvenated town centre, at our world famous port, in our amazing castle and on this spectacular new marina and sea front, and it can only happen through those who catch this dream for what God has for our home.

This is our invitation to you to be part of the next chapter that God is writing for south East Kent, partnering with him to see this dream become reality. A community that brings life; a people who love Dover; a new church called Dover Vineyard.
