We are OPEN: Mon-Sat | 10am-5pm (except Fridays when we close at 1pm) | Stembrook, Dover, CT16 1PF

The Beehive is a women’s second-hand clothing boutique and café in the heart of Dover, but we are much more than that.

We work with local services across the town to offer free clothing and support to women.

The Beehive exists for the simple aim of creating space to thrive, and we are so thankful to be a presence in Dover’s town centre.

About

The Beehive began in Ashford in 2017 as a pop-up shop, and since then has become a permanent, successful (and award-winning) business with a heart in Ashford’s town centre. Laura (Senior Pastor of Dover Vineyard) caught the vision, and knew that Dover needed a Beehive!

After spending 9 months interning at The Beehive Ashford, learning everything she could about running a Beehive, she (with a team) have taken on the challenge of setting up The Beehive Dover as a life-changing presence in the town that they love.

The Beehive Dover opened its doors in November 2023 at the old Roman Quay Pub, as a shop, café and community space, for both paying customers as well as offering a referral system for women to receive clothing and support for free. Since then it has grown and thrived to be a consistent presence of hope and restoration in Dover.

We are loving being a permanent feature in Dover, and welcoming you through the doors!

Donations

All our our clothes are loving donated from the community; for the community. If you have high quality women’s clothing and would like to donate your clothes to us, we’d be so grateful. Drop in to share your donations with us or get in touch at: beehive@dovervineyard.church.

If you’d like to donate financially to The Beehive, we’d be so grateful. You can give financially via this easy giving form. Every penny that you give will go straight into The Beehive and supporting women in our town.

If you are a taxpayer, we can claim gift aid on both physical donations of clothes and financial donations, at no extra cost to you. Please let us know if we’re able to claim gift aid on your kind donation. All we’ll need are a few contact details and we’ll do the rest!

Referrals

We take referrals!

Whether you’re a local service: social services; family liaison; church or charity, or just part of the general public, if you know someone who needs our help, or you yourself are looking for support, we will accept referrals/self-referrals from anyone.

We know that there are a massive range of reasons why someone may need our help (not always just financial) and our heart is one of generosity. Which is why our support is not means-tested. We offer a personal shopping experience where we find everything that you may need, free of charge. As well as giving away clothing for free, we also link up with other support in the town too.
